Comics and comic artists have the power to not only entertain and engage readers through their storytelling and artwork, but they also have the ability to use their platform to make a positive impact in the world.
One such artist is Ash Baker-Ford, who recently donated a copy of her Ange Postecoglou based comic “From Yokohama to Glasgow” to our 14,000th Kano kid.
Ash’s comic has captured the hearts of Celtic fans around the globe as it charts the tale of Ange’s move to the mighty Celtic from the Far East. But Ash is more than just a talented creator – she is also a kind and generous individual who is dedicated to giving back to their community.
She told us:
“I see the wonderful work that the Kano Foundation does every week when I see all the happy smiley faces of the kids at Celtic park. I reached out to see if I could help in my own small way”
Thank you, Ash, for your generosity and for using your platform to make a difference.
You are truly a hero in every sense of the word.
You can see Ash’s work at her website here: www.bakerfordfootball.
